This OOAK mixed media piece is a mandala drawing on a real lotus leaf, cut into a small leaf shape, and is collaged with dried florals and leaves from my garden (hydrangea, rose leaves) onto an aged paper. A few layers of varnish protects the drawing. This botanical assemblage is glued together and is framed for tabletop/desk display.

Unity Hands Mandala was created to represent the journey and hopes of racial connectivity and solidarity. After the surfacing of the horrendous violence against Asian elders, a little positivity which arose are more awareness/ conversation of the Anti-Asian sentiment and a rise in community support.

Floral Moth celebrates beauty in darkness. Traditionally, the moth represents resurrection and transformation of the soul. In darkness, the moth seeks the light and strives for life’s truths. With Native American lore, moths are recognized as dreamguides and a path to recognizing our darker consciousness.

 

This Floral Moth design was created for the Kids and Art Fundraiser benefiting art therapy programs for children with cancer and their families.

This Mermaid Shell Mandala was challenging to do, but I’m quite happy with how it turned out, as I didn’t want it to be really overwhelming. Almost the end of May/ Mermay, so had to finish it with a bang! 🙂
