Elba Rios invited me to be one of several judges for the 5th Annual MVROP Multimedia Fest. It’s inspiring to see the next generation of artists and photographers developing their craft. Pride & Propaganda is inspired by the Gothic art of the 1400s and the counterculture rumblings of modern street art. Weapons (guns, bullets, and grenade) become design elements, framing the skeletal figure and visually unifying the piece. The point of this artwork is not to offend religious persons, but rather, an artistic expression–to show that propaganda is a form of advertising, and the largest vehicles are war and religion.
