This Tarantula spider oddity decor is sustainably sourced from Indonesia. The specimen is a Selenocosmia Java Yellow Kneed Spider, and is accompanied by jewel beetle wings, crushed seashells and dried florals for added beautification. Considered an aggressive, quick and poisonous arachnid, this species whistles when threatened. Though I’m a bit scared of this lil guy, it was fascinating to work with, as the little hairs made it soft and approachable.

This Man-Face Beetle insect taxidermy specimen (sustainably sourced) had a crack in its exoskeleton which reminded me of Frankenstein, so naturally, I had to go the horror route and pair it with a skull buddy.

This goblincore grim reaper statue is a mixed media piece made up on dried mushrooms and florals. The bench was made from styrofoam, painted with several layers and a few types of moss were attached to the figure.
