This piece was created for the “Resolution” Art Show curated by Wonderland SF Gallery’s Irene Hernandez-Feiks, for Palette Gallery, in collaboration with 111 Minna. With a show at the end of the year, and a concept of Resolution, I wanted to explore the ideas of contemplation, purpose and determination. Lotus flowers are long associated with meditation and love. The florals combined with the beautiful praying mantis create a atmosphere of wonder and beauty, a place of stillness and resolve.

The art show rendition includes a real Dead Leaf Praying Mantis, painted and adorned, making it a delicate one-of-a-kind creation.

Had lots of fun creating this mini collage banner showcasing some of my art for the Sinister Creature Con. It’s happening this weekend (October 17th & 18th) at the Scottish Rite Center in Sacramento.
