I created this piece, available as an art print. However, for Wonderland SF Gallery’s last show, I wanted to do a one-of-a-kind art embellishment piece on giclee, incorporating the gorgeous Blue Swallowtail Butterfly and a miniature resin sculpture of a deer skull, painted with silver leaf and acrylics.

I’ve been fascinated by the nightclubs/lounges of San Francisco Chinatown from the 1930s to 1950s, featuring Chinese American caberet performers, entertainers and burlesque shows. Jadin Wong was one of the featured dancers who eventually went to Hollywood, became a comedian and created her own casting company, battling stereotypes along the way. This portrait was based on a NSFW beautiful portrait, but I wanted to make her a little more family-friendly, though modernizing her with a fun dragon tattoo and an elaborate floral headdress, of roses, rather than traditional peonies.

This tribal panda pattern was super fun to do, combining realism with tribal abstract patterns for Chinese Lunar New Year promotions.
This cute sleeping pig is nestled in peony petals, lost in happy thoughts of the new year 🙂

These pieces are for the upcoming Cosmos Art Show at Sysygy Coop on January 31st. I wanted to focus on Asian mythological goddess, Ching-E (with her pet rabbit as a shoulder tattoo) and Amaterasu.

I’m normally very shy to be in front of the camera, but Yellow Bubbles made me felt as ease. I made a fun skull headdress and we shot at a local park in Castro Valley, CA. The duo sister team of Temira Decay and Ambery Cherrybomb of Spoiled Cherry were super talented and fun to work with. The photos eventually made it to Guilded Magazine for their Warrior themed issue (43, Vol 2).
