Super excited to have participated in yesterday’s Lunar New Year Spring Festival activities at the Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco. Hosting a table at the event was so much fun and being able to meet such amazing people along the way was very encouraging and inspiring.
My artwork is now available in the Design Store at the Chinese Culture Center–so happy!!! 🙂

This Asian Dragon is available as an ART PRINT HERE and was created for the non-profit organization, Dragon School 99, promoting artistic, community and cultural empowerment through street art, based in Oakland, CA. I’m very excited to be a part of their ventures 🙂
This was a fun project, where it presented a couple of challenges–one of which was to make the dragon less sinister and more approachable, but still tough. The eyes are the most expressive portion on the face, so I created different variations, and went with Version #5. In a few months, this design will morph slightly and slither its way onto a shirt; I’ll write a secondary post with the update, but in the meantime, hope you have a splendid Lunar New Year!

Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my favorite cult films, and I wanted to create my own version of the power couple, Jack and Sally. I love the cartoon quality of Tim Burton’s aesthetics, but decided to go for a realistic route, with Sally as a sexy pinup, leading the charge with the loving Jack Skellington by her side.
The artwork is available as a print on my ETSY SHOP

Ouroboros Infinity Snake Art Design is a dark surrealist rendition of the classic mythological symbol, where life arises out of death. My version lies somewhere between the juxtaposed worlds of destruction (bones) and creation (flowers). The piece was created with pen and ink, graphite and a touch of digital coloring.

This Wolf illustration is inspired by the magick and folklore of Wiccans and Native Americans, where wolves represent strength and courage. I went back to basics with this almost-monotone illustration, but included highlight colors for the eyes (silver blue for the “spirit wolf”) and the crescent moon. I also incorporated my detailed patterning in the background, inspired by the intricate designs of old Chinese paper-cutting creations and zentangle images.
