Artwork: Buprestidae Jewel Beetle Rose Taxidermy Glass Display, Oddities Curiosities
. Posted by Sherrie Thai by Shaireproductions.com .
I’ve become more interested in entomology recently and find this rainbow green Bupresitidae Beetle so impressive in colors and construction. This gorgeous iridescent specimen comes from Indonesia and is sustainably sourced, while benefiting local communities and economies.
This Bupresitidae rainbow jewel beetle is coupled with a handmade yellow rose from mulberry paper and various reindeer moss, which offers a nice contrast to this stunning creature. The colors change from green to orange and blue, pending the lighting. It is sealed in a corked glass dome, at 7/8″ wide by 2″ tall. This display can be a a lovely gift for yourself or loved ones, while adding bit of nature’s beauty into your space.
