This underwater “Sea Skull” artwork infuses some of the fanciful creatures of the deep ocean with a decorative bent: seahorse skeletons, shells, coral and jellyfish tentacles. I didn’t want to go overboard with color; rather, wanted to highlight the details. Creating decorative skulls is really fun; perhaps I’ll explore glowing eyes in another piece 🙂
The Aliens franchise has a new movie coming out on Friday and I wanted to take advantage of the fervor and inspiration to create a new piece. This tribal piece has a “throwback” nod to the classic 1980s movie posters with the incorporation of the vintage green glow, space pattern and digital rays. Below is the initial pen and ink drawing:
This spiral notebook is available on ETSY HERE and is adorned with my “Steampunk Skeleton Heart” artwork (a mixed-media creation inspired by Day of the Dead and the Steampunk genre). It’ll be a lovely gift for yourself or for that special someone who enjoys writing and appreciates a touch of macabre steampunk in their collection.
“Deadly Beauties Set 2” is a 3-piece pinback button set that was created and produced from my original illustrations, inspired by the dark fantasy world of mysterious creatures filled with vampires and mermaids. GET THE DEADLY BEAUTIES BUTTONS ON ETSY.
“Bird Skull Mandala” is inspired by the beauty of the macabre, with a detailed winged pattern drawn meticulously with pen/ink. I love creating a piece that combines the simple elegance of nature with the dark side of life. For a small price, you can indulge in this stunning piece and add this print to your collection or as a small gift for your friends or family: HERE on Etsy
Donnie Darko is a fascinating cult film with intriguing characters and a unique tale of fantasy and horror. This is my rendition of “Frank the Bunny” with a quote from the movie “You are the Product of Fear”. Behind the rabbit, is scrawled the numbers “28064212”, an ominous number in the film that indicates “the day the earth will end”.
Hope everyone has a fantastic Lunar New Year! I was pleased to receive this card design from AGC Singapore utilizing my Red Asian Textile Background. It’s a beautiful combination of nature photography and traditional design.
