This Dinosaur Therizinosaurus Alien Drawing is inspired by the Creatuanuary IG art prompt. Birds are believed to be cousins of the dinosaurs, so wanted to explore that notion even more, while combining unusual features as a scorpion stinger with distinct mammal fur markings.

The Aliens franchise has a new movie coming out on Friday and I wanted to take advantage of the fervor and inspiration to create a new piece. This tribal piece has a “throwback” nod to the classic 1980s movie posters with the incorporation of the vintage green glow, space pattern and digital rays. Below is the initial pen and ink drawing:
